Costa Mesa City Council to Consider Dissolution of the Police Department Helicopter

Costa Mesa City Council to Consider Dissolution of the Police Department Helicopter

February 8th, 2011 the City Council will discuss stopping this program to save money.  My question is, will the city really save more money?  This program has worked for years to reduce man hours and make our our police department more effective.  The city says they will save $754,380 in salaries and benefits, I disagree, these police officers, if the program is stopped should be moved back to their old jobs and and not be laid off.  This sounds like the government raiding Social Security!

Please take time to read this report and send an email to the city council on how you feel!
