REDEVELOPMENT PROPOSED AT GISLER/HARBOR PROPERTIES IN COSTA MESA CALIFORNIA
Here is an update of the common question of the month? What is going in on Harbor Blvd. near Gisler!
The multiple commercial parcels on the west side of Harbor Boulevard between Gisler Avenue and Date Place are proposed for redevelopment.
Commerce Realty has submitted a master plan application for the remodel and redevelopment of five parcels on Harbor Boulevard. The plan includes the following:
a new 4,319 square foot Chick Fil-A,
a new 14,000 square foot Fresh and Easy market,
a new 7,500 square foot three-tenant building at the southwest corner of Gisler Avenue and Harbor Boulevard,
the remodeling of a two tenant retail building at 3135 Harbor Boulevard containing a liquor store; and,
a new circulation plan for the McDonald restaurant at 3141 Harbor Boulevard.
All buildings will be designed with consistent contemporary architecture with use of accent materials and corner treatments that will significantly improve the Harbor Boulevard frontage south of the 405 freeway on one of the major gateways to Costa Mesa.
The plan is also intended to improve the circulation on Harbor Boulevard by reducing the number of driveways and reciprocal access between properties.
The application is pending submittal of a traffic analysis and should be scheduled for public hearings in early 2011.
